Banker Wannabe is a place to learn the practical points of investment banking and also absorb a bit of the culture and history. The primary goal is to educate banker wannabes on what bankers do, how to become a banker and how much they make(!). Over time, we hope to delve deeper into how the firms and career came to be and where we think it is heading.

I am YourMD. Not meaning medical doctor, a managing director is the traditional senior role in investment banking. MDs advise clients on transactions and win new business while facing immense pressure in these efforts.

 

I have spent over 10 years on the Street, completing an MBA and beginning my banking career as an associate. I work in an industry coverage group covering public and private companies with a focus on M&A and IPOs. I hope you will find my site initially educational and eventually inspirational.
